Welcome to Brickwood Coffee & Bread, a charming café nestled in the heart of London at 162-164 Lower Richmond Rd. This delightful venue is not just a spot for your daily caffeine fix, but a vibrant community hub that offers an array of mouthwatering dishes and delectable drinks.

As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere that effortlessly combines a relaxed vibe with a dash of modern flair. The café features ample outdoor seating, perfect for those sunny London days when you want to enjoy your brunch al fresco. The friendly staff adds a personal touch to your experience, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

Brickwood’s menu is a homage to brunch lovers, offering a delightful selection that ranges from hearty meals to lighter bites. Start your day on the right foot with “Eggs Your Way on Toast”, perhaps enhanced with a side of their Native Mushrooms for just a pound more—a simple yet satisfying choice. For those looking for something unique, the “Corn Jalapeno Fritters” are a must-try at £14.00; their crunch is irresistible, and the flavor is bold, making each bite an explosion of taste.

Sandwich aficionados will rave about the café’s toasties, particularly the “BLT”, which Olive describes as “probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.” Served on focaccia, this masterpiece combines crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and juicy tomatoes, proving that simple can be extraordinary. The “Spicy Chicken + Avocado” toastie further elevates the offerings, packing a punch of flavor and heartiness that will leave you craving more.

For the coffee lovers, Brickwood doesn’t disappoint. With options like Flat White (£3.50) and Mocha (£3.90), each cup is brewed to perfection, ensuring a satisfying experience. Customer Scott Richards praises the “superb coffee and baked treats,” making it the ideal spot for a cozy catch-up or a peaceful moment to savor your drink. Just be sure to grab a seat outside if the weather permits—it’s a fantastic setting for a cuppa!

While the café does shine in many areas, one area for potential improvement noted by customer A Heslop is their hot chocolate, which could elevate its game by using real chocolate instead of powder. However, with so many other options available, it hardly detracts from the overall delightful experience of Brickwood.

In short, Brickwood Coffee & Bread is a must-visit café for both locals and visitors alike. With its fabulous brunch options, welcoming atmosphere, and stellar coffee, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Whether you’re a foodie seeking your next big meal or simply in search of a cozy place to sip coffee, Brickwood is sure to exceed your expectations.

Great spot run by nice people. Plenty of brunch options on the menu. Nice flat white. Lots of outdoor seating in the front. The hot chocolate does need a bit of work to keep up with the other cafes on the street imho, as it tastes like it’s made with something like Cadbury powder rather than melting real chocolate solids into steamed milk

Fantastic service and funny waiter that served us. My bacon had the tiniest bit of ligament in it which I couldn’t eat, but everything else I had was superb. Thank you all!

Delightful neighborhood gem with superb coffee and baked treats. Plenty of outdoor seating, so it's a go-to spot for a cuppa on sunny days. After a follow-up visit this morning, I happily underline my 5-star rating and would add - try the advocado toast "all the way" with poached egg, chorizo, etc... dynamite! Many thanks to the wonderful Brickwood team for making each visit a delight.

Great place!! We sat outside which was nice with the weather, our table was close to the road but the traffic was not bad and the bushes blocked off the view and gave us some privacy. The food was really nice and with great portions, I could not finish my breakfast burrito it was so big! The mushrooms and truffle toastie was also amazing. Had a great chat with the blond girl but didn't catch her name. Overall would recommend.

A gem hidden away from the busy London. We went here on a weekend morning. The atmosphere indoor and outdoor was lovely with sunshine. There are real plants at each table. The waiters/waitresses on that day were new but they were a lovely and welcoming bunch of people. The owner was very attentive. I ordered a cappuccino and blueberry buttermilk pancake. They were absolutely delicious! The portion was just right. The pancake was fluffy, and the blueberry compote was not too sweet and a delight. So much so we went again the next day. I ordered the same thing and the Missing Melbourne smoothie— probably the best smoothie I had! My friend ordered Smashed Avocado and Flat White - he loved them too. Overall, a highly recommended place for coffee break, brunch, lunch - I even saw some brought a laptop to work (there are plugs at most tables with USB port lol).

Probably one of the best BLTs I’ve ever had - incredible value for money too! The ciabatta bread it’s served on is so fresh and crunchy. Great space, love the outdoor terrace, staff super friendly. Will be returning regularly!

This place has been a few things but this looks like the exact fit for the area. Lived here 10 years and while the location as a little further down its worth the few extra minutes walk as the venue is by far more open and appealing then the run of tiny congested cafes on Lower Richmond Rd. An amazing sun trap with lots of tables in a sunny garden and the open layout is really fresh. the staff were nice and i was suprised with quality and presentation of food considering a cafe. Finally a decent cafes!
